THROUGH THE TAYLOR FOUNDATION
PURPOSE The purpose of these scholarships is to provide academic training for persons preparing for the ordained ministry or certification as Director of Christian Education, Minister of Christian Education or Associate in Christian Education within a member denomination of the World Methodist Council.
REQUIREMENTS An Applicant: Must have been an active member of a congregation of a member denomination of the World Methodist Council for at least three years. Must be a full-time student during the regular academic year for which the award is made. Must be a bona fide degree candidate at an accredited school as defined by the General Board of Higher Education. Must be able to establish the need for financial aid in one or more of these areas: tuition, fees, books, board, and/or room.
AMOUNT A scholarship may be any amount from $375.00 to $3000.00 in any academic year. The exact amount will be determined by the Taylor Foundation upon the basis of the established need and availability of funds.
DURATION The scholarship is for one academic year; however, the recipient may reapply in following years for further aid.

DEADLINE All applications should be mailed to the Taylor Foundation, Boone First United Methodist Church, Seventh and Arden Streets, Boone, Iowa 50036 by April 15. Awards will be announced by the Taylor Foundation by June 1.
AWARDS Awards will be made by the Foundation on the basis of academic standing, leadership ability, character, Christian commitment and need, with preference to graduate students. Payment will be made directly to the school at the beginning of each semester, trimester, quarter, or other billing period.
