UNITED METHODIST WOMEN – Every year the United Methodist Women around the world participate in a Call to Prayer and Self-Denial. This usually happens during Lent and this year we will be focusing on it, Wednesday, Mar 3 at 1:00 p.m. at our general meeting. The purpose of this program is to fund needed repairs for existing missin buildings around the world. Some of these missions have been in existence for over 100 years so the need is great. Shesler Hall in sioux City, IA has been on of the recipients of these funds. Everyone is invited so hope to see you there.

TAIZE WORSHIP ~ On the first Thursday evening of every month a special worship that includes candlelight, prayers, readings, silence and soft music with repetivie words takes place at 7:00 p.m. in the sanctuary.  You are invited to come and worship in a quite space.

HELP NEEDED!!! ~ We currently have 16 volunteers but we NEED MORE. Can you give 30-60 minutes of your time a month to visit a Methodist nursing home resident!??  35 people have responded that they would truly enjoy a visit from a member of their church family in order to feel connected to their church.  If you visit one of these folks regularly now – let me know and you can be their official visitor.

Thank you, Char Wilkening

COMING IN APRIL – Sunday Potlucks – There will be fellowship, community togetherness, visiting and friendly banter with of course great food. Be sure to read the bulletin and “Messenger” for details!
